Big Girl Tee-Tee In The Potty Dance

OMG y'all...I have to brag about my BIG girl one more time!
So tonight right before her bath, we did the same thing as we have been all week - run the bath water, get naked, sit on the potty, go tee-tee & do the big girl tee-tee in the potty dance. Except this time I thought she seemed like she was actually paying attention & was interested in what was going on - I don't know exactly what made me think that, maybe just the look on her face (or the fact that she kept trying to put her hands down there.)
ANYWAYS...what I 'm really here to tell you! About an hour or so later, we were in the living room visiting with Aunt Linda when Ella disappeared. "Ella...where are you, what are you getting into?" All be darn, she was in the bathroom standing in front of, and pointing at her potty. So we hurried up, striped off the diaper and plopped her on the potty. She had that same look on her face and it was like she was pushing trying to make herself go (a little graphic I know...sorry.)
And guess what y'all...she actually went, and it was a whole tee-tee, not just a dribble!!! I am SO proud!!!!! This time I think she actually felt the urge and did all this on purpose. So of course we MAJORLY did the big girl tee-tee in the potty dance all over the house.
Maybe this is my reward for all the hell she gave me over the past couple of months while Neal was out of town.
Works for me!!!

Also, you can check out all of Ella's 15 month pictures on our Shutterfly account.

My Baby's Not A Baby :(

Today I realized that my baby is not so much a baby anymore - for a couple of reasons. She got her 1st haircut, which I realize is not that big of a deal considering that most of my friends kids around the same age have had several haircuts. But why does such a tiny little bit of hair missing totally change the way she looks? Of course we only let the best of the best have the honor to give the first snip.....(thanks Krystal!)

And of course after you get a new hair style it never fails that you can never style it as good as the beautician does.......

But it's OK - I don't think she liked it anyway!

And now the 2nd and most important reason my little Ella Bella is a Big Girl now...

She has gone tee-tee in the potty every night (except one) for the past week!
It doesn't really seem like she knows what the heck is going on, but we are still making a big deal about it. Every night, right before she gets in the bath tub we sit her on the potty and walla - it's been that easy! I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I have just taken her diaper off and the cool air hits her, or that there is water running to fill the tub...nope, don't think so. Either way, surely routine is a good thing & I think she will be peeing like a pro before we know it!!!

And...look who's home!

Oh how we missed you Daddy!

Neal was working in Marble Falls for the past 2 months only coming home on the weekends. Let me put it this way - IT SUCKED!!!!
I have to take call twice a week, meaning that on those nights Ella & I were staying at my parents house in case I had to go in. Of course Ella loved getting to stay at Nannie & Papaw's house, but I think it really jacked her up. She had to have been totally confused, at home one night, then to Nannie & Papaw's for a couple, back home, see Daddy for a day or two, then he's gone again. Needless to say, I could definitely see a change in her behavior(and it wasn't a favorable one.)
But what do you know, as soon as Neal got home - totally different baby! So, we are both so so so happy your home Daddy - now we're gonna put a chain on you so you can never go back!

I can't think of a title for this one...

O-kay, this post is just gonna be a bunch of randomness! I just thought I would share some pics of everything Ella has been up to lately.

She has been busy teaching her cousin Kobe all kinds of things about everything important in life, like using a cell phone, how to throw fits until you get what you want, how to climb on the couch, and how to win over all these crazy women in our family that keep staring at them & talking to them like their babies.

She's been enjoying her swing she got for her birthday...

Eating dirt...

She had her 15 month appt. where we learned she STILL doesn't weigh 20 lbs. She got her last set of shots until she turns 4 - Yeah!

She has totally been a social butterfly - We have had all kinds of play dates with kids around the neighborhood...

We celebrated Hudson's 2nd Birthday...

We spent a day just hanging out with Braxton playing outside...

Went rode trippin' with Parker...

And, well just sat around looking at little Harlee!

Aunt Connie's day care kids handed down their play house for me to use since their play room got too crowded. I have climbed in & out of every hole, up & down the slide & stood on the tippy top of each wall! Thanks Aunt Connie - I love it!

Oh yeah there is something else we need to talk about. Ella started going to big girl day care this week. Until now, we have been so fortunate to have a friend keep Ella in her home. She got all the love & attention anyone could ever ask for, but we decided she really needs the interaction with other kids. So what better solution than to send her somewhere where she will be totally surrounded by kids of all ages ALL day? I have to say I was a little worried about how she would do when I left her in the morning & about her just laying down at nap time & going to sleep all by herself(yeah right!) Well, she proved me wrong! When I put her down in the morning, she just took off playing with the other kids. She never looked back - no goodbye, no nothing! So here she is Monday morning ready to go...

Well, that's all we got for you this week folks! Y'all stay cool!
